Vale Roderick Wyn Morgan aka Old Man Crow
1947-2022
The cremation is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30am Tuesday January 25th
I will make little bundles of Rod’s ashes to be scattered in the gardens we have known over the years
fly free magical man
carry my heart to the stars

almost too much to bear. almost.
Mo, love to hear him play & sing and a beautiful backdrop to honor and imagine him ‘flying free’. Through your deep love and deep missing you have made meaning that will spread on the wind to hearts near and far, including mine. May you be well and continue to move through this process with much grace and surrounded with much love. xo
Thank you for this beautiful post Mo. I can feel the spirit.
Rod, is still with everyone that knew him and through the legacy of his music coupled with your art. xxx
I may never have actually physically met Rod and you in person yet I feel like we have known each other for a very long time. From ancient times. This passage you are moving through now is the hardest one a spirit goes through. You have so much of him with you that you are surrounded by him as we all are. He left us with so much. But you have the best memories to carry you through this difficult time. Blessings of the Universe Mo. You know he is with you. Always.
Sooo appropriate Mo. Like the man himself, this will allow the spirit of the Man to spread far and wide.
Carry on: carry love and music and passion and compassion and art and giving and know that you both are forever in hearts across the globe. While I know that Rod is playing, as I’ve said before on the stardust road, he is also grounded here in the gardens that you and he created Mo and what a lovely way to honor him. Above, below, his spirit circles and forever, he will always be our dear, magical and oh so real, Old Man Crow. A Spanish blessing: Ir con los espiritus querido Rod- go with the spirits dear Rod for I know that they are happily with you…
((Mo)) (I just came here after many days not being out on the web) So sorry to hear, see
Thinking of you and that you lost Rod, he must be flying free now, singing somewhere, but he will always be there inside you
LOVE.
Oh, Mo… the deep love and beauty of this, and Barry’s dear loving post. I hope the love you two shared, his light and the stars are holding you close. oxo
Blessings xo
i love this little video of him singing sweetly. in my mind i see you spreading his ashes like glittering jewels. ((((mo))))
[…] out of it. So many have joined in heartfelt messages, entertaining remembrances, and shared sorrows over there. There is a circle of friends that although we’ve never met in person, we have connected […]
It’s a bit like magic, to make music like that. I’m so sorry to learn he’s gone, and I send my love to you, on crow wings and stars … xo
I know our times are topsy turvy with you in AU and me in US.. but on Tuesday here at 7:30 AM, I will add my prayer to the universe for you both.
The stars on strings look gorgeous. The photo of Roderick with the red Les Paul is absolutely stunning. The performance of ‘Candlelight’ typifies his unique musical style. I will be thinking of you both at 7.30am on Tuesday.
(((Pete))) Richard Whitfield took that fabulous photo of Rod and his beloved Les Paul at The Sando in 2012
the sweet sounds of Rod’s voice and his guitar were almost too much to bear … my heart aches for you
