Fly Free Carol written on a piece of scribbly gum bark to honour our beautiful friend’s passing 2 years ago
Old Man Crow’s aim is much better than mine so he tossed the piece of bark onto the railway track at Mortuary Station
and it landed right in the middle of the tracks right side up!
this is our second visit to the Embassy of Transition for the Sydney Biennale

our friend Carol loved horses, we made a little book for Eric and Carol called “The Visitor”, this page was for her
and Eric is the Dragon of Dragonglass
I love Old Man Crow’s economy of line, he drew the doorways and the suggestion of a doorman
NB can’t remember what year this was… we were still living at 271 so it was probably around the turn of the century

“Dark Moon Memory Keeper” by Mo 2014
I have poured all the memories of my friend Carol
the tears for her passing and the joyfulness of her bright spirit into this memory keeper
this Dark Moon by Glennis Shibori Girl was more beautiful with no stitching but I needed to try
details of front
wishbone, cat claw sheath and bound cat whiskers, shells, Lapis Lazuli, glass & clay beads from Africa and Peru
detail of stitching on an indigo dyed moon by Jude Hill
NB all the wonderful vintage indigo cloths in this bag are from Glennis Shibori Girl and Jude Hill
and with many thanks to Jude for showing me how to stitch through the tears
a bit later…
love how Margaret Johnson’s “Blue Star Woman” and Elizabeth Bunsen’s “Blue Cat Dreaming” fit in so perfectly
& the next day
Terri Windling posted the most beautiful poem and images for the Beltane Moon
