This little house is mine!
Paid the deposit earlier today, will do the paperwork with the solicitor tomorrow.
I’ve named the place
“Dunmovin”
brings tears of joy to my eyes every time I write it!
The stars have aligned with Old Man Crow’s spirit riding the wild winds that are blowing…
Magic Days!

  2. Lana says:

Oh Mo I am so happy for you that you have found a place to call home. I remember the time I bought my house and how it gave me such a wonderful sense of achievement and peace. I’m sure old man crow is there with you feeling your joy. I hope your first Christmas in your new home is the best of many more to come♥️

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Lana))) the move will happen in late January, all the paperwork still has to go through for the the sale to be finalized & I am catsitting for my ex next door neighbour in Newtown in the city til mid January.

  3. (((Mo))) – wonderful news! Huge hugs

  4. dinahmow says:

So happy for you, Mo. ((hugs))

  5. Rene Walin says:

I am so happy for you! It is a beautiful little house in a lovely location. Blessings to you going forward.

  6. Margaret Johnson says:

Fantastic news Mo!!! So pleased and happy for you….Marg n Mike oxoxox

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Marg & Mike))) it’s a long time dream come true, I can walk my talk of living a sustainable life, will put solar panels on the roof with reverse cycle A/C & keep Silver Seabright chooks, one of which needs to be named Calliope!

      • Margaret Johnson says:

Woo Hoo !! Seabrights are beautiful, very friendly and very smart too. My beautiful Brother (Boofa, now dec.) used to breed chooks. His chicken setup was a sight to behold. I miss him very much and his beautiful chickens. I hope you can let them be free range, locking them up at night. We just love having chickens. ox

        • Mo Crow says:

(((Margaret))) I’ve been thinking about Silver Seabrights all day and how I want to name a hen Calliope Chook! In Greek mythology Calliope is the muse of eloquence and epic poetry. I look forward to looking after chooks, do they need heated accommodation in a cool climate?

          • Margaret Johnson says:

As long as they are draught free with lots of clean straw, they will be fine. Ours are in a wooden shed, with chicken wire doors. They love to be outside and will go in their coop if they get too cold. LOVE having chickens ( over 20 years now) They love company so 2 or 3 is a good amount. They also snuggle up for warmth in Winter. ox

  7. fiona says:

Oh Mo – such joy!!! What a sweetheart of a house it is – with a studio!!! You will be so happy there. The stars have aligned indeed!

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Fiona))) when I rode my bicycle up to take a squizz 10 days ago it felt like I had come home and everything has moved very fast from there, wild Magic is afoot!

  8. Barry says:

Mo – brings tears to my eyes as well. Isn’t it such a feeling to know you have found a beautiful place of your own. So much potential with the new studio space; and a new roof for the gazebo. Sending so much love to you. B

  9. Marti says:

Welcome home Mo and Rod…a place of comfort and joy, a place of shelter and inspiration, a place that was meant to be. And now, an Irish blessing for the house and for you:

    May your troubles be less
    And your blessings be more.
    And nothing but happiness
    Come through your door.

  10. deemallon says:

What happy news! Congratulations, Mo. How big is the land parcel? Will you garden?

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Dee))) the property is app 664.2 square metres, the garden has good bones, just needs a good gardener with an artist’s eye & that’s me!

      • deemallon says:

And how nice it’ll be to garden not for a client but for yourself!

        • Mo Crow says:

looking forward to growing all those cool climate flowers and trees that I have only read about in books, I have a peony growing in a pot ready to plant out in autumn, will try sowing Blue Tibetan Poppies in the ground then as well as my spring sowing in pots didn’t germinate (they are notoriously hard to grow but in the right spot will flourish) and I have wanted to grow Snakeshead Fritillaria for half a lifetime, now I can!

          • deemallon says:

Having a gazebo might be a boon to some of these seedlings ventures.

            • Mo Crow says:

will enjoy taking the thatch off the roof of the Gazebo and reroofing in clear Alsynite to make a Victorian style conservatory a la Morticia and Cleopatra her pet carnivorous plant in the 1960’s tv show The Addams Family!

  11. Liz A says:

home at last … wishing you gentle days

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Liz))) my eyes are not much good for the fine details these days, a house & garden are a much bigger canvas to work with, will enjoy taking the rest of my life to nurture the garden and look after the old house!

  12. Nancy says:

Oh Mo…this is just the best news ever!!! Yay! Your little home is going to hold you for many years to come. Best, Nancy

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Nancy))) the wild Blue Mountains have romanced my soul, the community has welcomed me with open arms, this little house and garden will shelter & nurture me for the rest of my days, feels so good to truly become a Blackheathen!

    • Wendy says:

Congratulations Mo! Knowing you’re in the right place is magical.

  13. Saskia van Herwaarden says:

wonderful news! congratulations, love that house name

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Saskia))) was wondering why I have been keeping this rented house so very neat and tidy ever since I moved in at the beginning of May & now I know, packing up will be so easy this time and I’ll get my bond back when I give notice no worries. This will be my last move, living in 52 houses in one lifetime is enough!

  14. jude says:

    Love love love

  15. Beth from Still Life Pond says:

(((Mo!))) Congratulations. Looking forward to a picture tour!

  16. fiberels says:

    alien and all goes well.

    Congratulations
    Jenny xx

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Jenny))) let’s catch up in Sydney, I will be catsitting my ex next door neighbour’s little black cat in Camperdown from next Monday til mid January, do you have any gigs happening?

      • Jenny Griffith says:

        Good morning Mo

It would be lovely to catch up while you are in town. We are playing at Marrickville Bowlo on the 15th of January 4:30pm. Failing that we could meet somewhere or you are welcome to come over to the house.
        J&G xx

  18. grace says:

oh YES! and how WONDER FULL!!!! i look so forward to all that will come of it!!!!

  19. Debbie says:

    Dear Mo
    How sweet is that
    xd

  20. debgorr says:

Oh this is the best news! 🙂 I will add on about the chickens…I never used heat for my chickens. First winter when there was snow and it was below freezing for days I was so nervous about it. I decided I just had to trust the research I’d done. And the flowers..so excited for you!

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Deb))) this is good to know, I enjoyed keeping chooks half a lifetime ago ago but that was in the subtropics & I will certainly have the company of a cat!
