Incredible drawing Mo. Spooky but intricately inspiring too, if that makes sense.

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Dee))) I have been slowly working on this drawing since Julie passed away on August 7th, her funeral is tomorrow, we will be there in spirit

  2. Nancy says:

  3. Rene Walkin says:

    It’s a beautiful drawing Mo. A fine tribute.xx

  4. Carol says:

An absolutely beautiful tribute to your dear Julie. Thinking of you. ((((Mo)))

  5. Eliene says:

Being able to release your tears and your pain as you draw and to end up having this spectacular memory to Julie…wow! A pretty special way to be remembered…..and the good memories can only continue to grow. BTW I haven’t forgotten I owe you a photograph but I knew you would be grieving so have left it for the moment. Been thinking of you lots. Big hugs. x

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Eliene))) after many days of tentative little marks in 5H graphite my hand eye heart connection started working with the ink and it all started getting a lot more joyous after the cataract surgery on my right eye on Tuesday morning. I was second on the list and the eye surgeon did the operation perfectly, he was very happy with how it went & so am I. My vision is getting clearer by the day, it’s so good to be able to read the synopsis on the back of a book at the library without my glasses on, the colours of everything are so much brighter and all the edges of the world are so sharp! Look forward to that photo of you in the starry necklace!

  6. Hazel says:

Your beautiful drawing holds here & there, the next world, and so much love.

  7. Marti says:

In this exquisite drawing, I see a garland, flying from the center branches of the tree. I think of how we use garlands to celebrate and to express joy. Garlands signify beauty, peace, love and passion…may Julie fly free, bedecked with the love of her family and dear friends for she touched so many lives and will continue to do so, in their hearts and memories. Mo, this is such a beautiful tribute…

  8. (((Mo))) drawing from the heart

  9. Liz A says:

dear Mo … how much love is witnessed by your hand

  10. Lana says:

    Really beautiful work Mo

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Lana))) the funeral was today we attended by livestream on facebook which sounds bizarre but the service was a beautiful honouring full of so much love and good humour for a very special friend

  11. debgorr says:

This is beautiful, so much detail… Much Love Mo.

  12. Donna says:

I can never find words, enough to ease the loud silence of ‘Nevermore’. My thoughts are with you all – Mo, Rod & Penny. I remember Julie too & I start to smile because she was a fierce & beautiful woman. Love to you all. 💗

  13. Tina says:

I am so sorry for your loss .. I know she will live forever in your heart.

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Tina))) Julie left us all with so many good memories & such high standards to live up to! Whenever she was in town I would spend a week on the housework getting everything as tidy and clean as possible, she took great pride in her house and garden, she will always be by my side when I am out gardening!

  14. jude says:

    this is so moving

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Jude))) this drawing really helped me accept Julie’s passing, as she said from the other side of the grave at her funeral she wants us to miss her but not too much, she loved life, lived large, travelled the world, skiied on all the best slopes, built a fabulous nursery with her partner Leigh, partied hard and loved all her friends fiercely with a heart as big as Phar Lap.

  15. Acey says:

I too am deeply moved. Personalizing a lot of it because it speaks to same sort of glowing loving spirit released, there in a garden, that I have been envisioning from another leave-taking. we had a disembodied funeral in that everyone went outside at a certain time to make the loudest possible noise they could with a drum, rattle, or tambourine. Incredibly powerful thunder storms that were meant to miss us by many miles rolled directly overhead a few hours later. Was a lot more happy than sad ..
