Mo, what a beautiful place to scatter ashes… water flowing deep down into a forest. We have a bridal veil falls here too-in Yosemite. I’ll think of you and Rod on my next visit there.
And Cathy’s hat- perfect. I’m sure Rod loved that!
I’m imagining the sound of the water as it flows over the lip of that old rock…

What a stunning place, Mo, perfect for scattering Rod’s ashes. A solemn and sacred moment tempered by a touch of humour. I think Rod would have laughed too. Now you are truly part of the Blue Mountains and they are part of you. ((((Mo))))

A lovely ritual Mo in a beautiful setting with the added moment of levity; a truly lovely way to send Rod’s ashes along the river of life. It feels life-giving to share his ashes this way and the flow of water is such a wonderful way of helping us understand life, death and beyond…go gently and enjoy being part of that beautiful and nurturing landscape.

Now he will be in the place where the First Nations walked and he will be sharing his wisdom with them and whispering in your ear while you dream that this special place is where he always wanted to be.

  11. Marti says:

Old Man Crow is strumming and singing and doing, maybe, a bit of a dance for his spirit has so many wonderful places to roam, always with you Mo but also, taking in the whole of your amazing Blue Mountains- flowing over the falls, chuckling at the very idea of a hat sailing off but then life is like that, solemn one moment, but also whimsical and silly and so it was…his spirit just fills this place and always, always, Love hums the melody…

  12. Liz A says:

((Nancy)) found your comment from the 18th, please excuse my disorganized ways at the moment, not spending much time near the computer with the wild bush beckoning to romance me every day, I’m head over heels in love with this place!

      • Nancy says:

No worries at all Mo. I’m so happy you have this wonderful new spot to explore! It could just as easily have been me being confused!

  25. Elizabeth says:

Beautiful photos providing lasting memories of sending the old crow on his way in one of the most magical places. I see the dragonfly was on standby to supervise proceedings, carry the angels but not catch that fly-away hat.
