Old Man Crow has left the stage

Posted: January 19, 2022 by Mo Crow in It's Crow Time

Rod took his leave ever so gently and peacefully at 4:44am
the nurse called just before 3am to let me know his condition had changed
I was there by his side as his breathing slowed down until he was gone
he’s free

He is playing on the stage called stardust where he simply shines…

    Oh dear Mo,

We send you our love, our sorrow…what you hold onto now is that even in his passing, you were by his side, together, always…

The Irish have words that I want to share with you:

Irish words on the loss of a loved one:

When we lose someone, we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence; a quiet sadness. A longing for one more day… one more word… one more touch. We may not understand why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember, not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We will see you again, someday, in a place where there is no parting. A place where there are no words that mean good-bye.”

    With deepest love,

    Marti and Rich
