Rod just took this photo of Honesty in our garden, we are trying to enjoy every minute of whatever we have of this time together ! He’s back home from hospital, diagnosed with liver cancer, will start the treatments next week, his spirit is strong and he’s looking so well…
The crows were so funny out the front of the hospital yesterday, it was like a pantomine, three of them were making totemic shapes on the architectural features of the grand old sandstone entrance, then flew off playing and swooping all around me, flying up to the top of the the big old gum tree, jumping up and down shaking the ends of the branches with so much wild arrrkkking. They entertained me for a good hour, one of the best plays I’ve ever seen and very reassuring. The magic is always there when we just take the time to slow down and see!

Mo…….sending love to you both……….
(((Martine))) love is all that matters
MC – There are times when there aren’t the words. So sorry to hear that Rod has liver cancer – not good at all. Sending vibes for positive outcomes from the treatment. Spending the time together and enjoying every moment you can is the way to go. Much love to you both. B
(((Barry))) it’s a wild ride with Jimmy Dancer, a gamble with a 50/50 chance and we’ll make the most of it
Oh, Mo! I think Barry’s words say what I mean, too. Much love ((Mo and Rod))
(((Di))) all the love that surrounds us is the best magic
Terrible news but as you said, you will both take whatever time left to you both to fill it with love and joy. I hope the time is long. Sending as much love as I can to you both.❤️🌈❤️🌈❤️
(((Lana))) it’s a rollercoaster
Oh Mo! I am so sad for you. I will be thinking of you both as Rod goes through his treatment. Huge strides have been made in the treatment of cancer and there is every reason to hope for a good outcome. Blessings to you both. ♥️
(((Rene))) we still have so many dreams to make together we need more time!
Mo….no
But love is the answer and love will surround the 2 of you
Heaps of love

(((Carol))) love has such strong wings
Strong spirits and courage, both of you have in abundance. LOVE, without question…know that you are not alone in the days ahead, we are all with you, and our hearts and love go out to you both. I visualize our earth and all around the edges of the globe, , people linking hands, sending love and healing to you. May all of the love and joy that you have given to all of us return to you tenfold from all over the world for as you shown, through your art, through your music, through your caring and generosity, time and time again, Love is the answer, always.
(((Marti))) Love, Love, Love it’s all we need and it’s also handy to be living 10 minutes walk away from one of the best cancer research facilities in Australia and that we have such a good health care system here in Oz.
So sad to hear your news; everybody feels for a wounded warrior. Feel into that brave spot within and make time expand through your love and presence together.
Thanks for your honesty and love to you both, now and forever
(((Pete))) namaste

(((Glennis))) thanks again for all your beautiful indigo & fire moons that I have here to hold onto and stitch a way through!
Mo…Old Man….if any one would ever have asked me…or asked me today…about what
i know of the love between a man and a woman….i would tell them about my 2 Friends
in Australia, how they weave themselves together into such Fine Love
(((Grace))) your words went straight to my heart & there’s a few tears falling too just now
(((Mo & Rod))) with much love.
(((Beth))) stitching into the beautiful soft leather from your Mom’s gloves is such a comfort
Mo I will keep you and Rod in my thoughts. My mother grew this plant I think. Isn’t it called Chinese money in the states? Something like that. You are right… love is all there is. Linda
>
(((Linda))) I like the latin name too, Lunaria the silvery pods do look like the moon!
(((Mo and Rod))) – lunaria, moon shaped, the beautiful moons you love. Yes, love is the answer and is everything – and you are both enveloped in love here – thinking of you so much and sending vibes of magical love and the glow of the moon
(((Susi))) isn’t it funny how the really tricky bits in life make the most special magic days
I think the senses and sensibilities are somehow more aware of or sensitive to magic at these times maybe… Hugs
Dear Mo and Rod, that feels like such a sideswipe… Mixed everything – feelings, dreams and hopes. And words aren’t enough, but know you are held in a world wide web of love. xF
(((Fiona))) just had to cancel seeing any friends this weekend as we need to do a Covid test and self isolate before before his appointment with the oncology team at the Chris O’Brien Life House at RPA on Monday. It’s ok, we enjoy each other’s company but looking forward to visiting and having visitors with the restrictions starting to lift for the first weekend since June 25th when the Covid lockdown started here in Sydney!
timing huh?!?! Lockdown has been a loooongg haul, but the delight of visiting awaits you on the other side of tests!
My connectivity keeps going in and out..but the love and care and concern that is streaming to surround the two of you also has a strand coming from here on a hillside in Vermont ..wishing you long moments full of joy and the simple happiness of being able to touch and to hold.. the most gentle day to you both…Cynthia
(((Cynthia))) thank you for your gentle ways!
Oh MO, I’m so sorry to hear Rod is so sick. This must be so hard for both of you. Please accept our best wishes and lots of love and healing hugs . Tell Rod we’ll be waiting for lots of new songs from him soon.. Lots of Love from marg n Mike ….oxoxox
(((Marg & Mike))) thanks for the good hugs there will be more songs out the other side of this trip for sure!
Much love from here in Maine, USA, and may the crows continue to be with you both!
(((CatherinE))) thanks for the good vibes
{(((Mo & Rod)))} Love and prayers for you both. The crows were singing and dancing here, too, yesterday.
(((Faith))) there’s so much magic in the air
Oh what a time you are having. I am very sorry to read that there is a cancer diagnosis, but am glad that treatments will begin and things will go better, I am positive of this. Sending you both love and honesty. love love love xoxo
(((Judy))) thanks for your good words of love & hope
More love, more love for both of you…
(((Deb))) Rod’s just had the meeting with the oncologist, the good news is he may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial of a new drug that targets the specific cancer cells, his biopsy tissue needs to be sent off to see if his cells are the right fit, will have those results by next week, if it’s not the right fit he will start the rounds of chemotherapy to shrink the tumours. He will be able to keep gardening and doing Tai Chi and there is support available for diet, pain relief & palliative care when necessary. Feeling blessed with the hope of a little more time.
Oh this is good! I hope he is a good fit. My dad was just able to start a new medication for Parkinson’s and it is helping a lot. It’s good too that you will have support with all those things and that Rod can keep gardening and Tai Chi. That’s important. Take care of yourself too Mo.
I listened to Rod’s Wild Things and your illustration, as all your art, is so beautiful. Love permeates you both and your art. Reading all the comments full of love and hugs to you both, adding my own here as well, you have a community to hold you both up.
(((Peggy))) all the love holding us is the best magic!
I learned of this while we were in New Mexico when Nancy emailed me with words that alerted me to come here … we were in Santa Fe and a crow called out to me … it will be winging its way to you soon … meantime, my thoughts are with you both … and will continue to be in the days ahead … may you be well … may Rod be well … soon and fully …
(((Liz))) our postal system here is too broken to rely on with the Covid restrictions, Australia Post is saying xmas deliveries won’t be on time as there is so much mail and so many parcels backed up that haven’t been delivered due to lack of flights and staff shortages so please wait to send your crow treasure til sometime next year when the restrictions on international flights are lifted & things start to settle into some sort of new reality
Dear Mo and Rod, sending thoughts of love and hope across the sea, knowing the two of your lives are full of the best kind of magic that will wrap around you both with healing and strength. Mo, your fragile tender honesty stitching looks to be very good medicine. oxo
(((Hazel))) thanks for these good words, the stitching & knotting with Honesty is a quiet way to pray
