Half a lifetime ago when I finished art school I started working full time as a gardener at the Sydney Botanic Gardens. Within the first week Old Man Crow made sure I wore gloves to save my hands and I thank him for that! I did a lot of damage in my youth working bare handed with glass, wire, lead, cement, stone, wood and earth… working with threads and cloth these days is such a gentle way of making & watching you stitch your way through life’s thicks and thins over at Spirit Cloth has helped me realize I can be gentle with the materials and myself!

I imagine you giving it a slight toss upwards. Hearing it slap back into your palm.

Ah the work of Barry and Fiona, filled with heart! For some reason (very likely my computer) I could not get the links to open 😦 I treasure the two International Day of Peace pieces created by Barry and Fiona, the love spread via Liz. True heart, true art.
I wondered of the material this heart is made of? The color is stunning and for me speaks so well to ‘these days’ of 2021. To see their heart in your hand is to feel the connection. Beautiful.

Thanks for your kindness Mo – I love that photo of the heart in your hand…It feels lovely doesn’t it? Hearts and hands together, little by little we shall make our way to peace…go well.
