Such enjoyment, Mo, in sitting with your work this morning, enlarged on my screen, Wonderful, just what my soul needed to take in today.
(((Kristin))) I am really enjoying this year of contemplating the Moon with dreams of escape with ladders
Wow Mo, wow! Those ‘four moons’…can’t wait to see them grow and Autumn Moon – Oh my! Stunning. xo
(((Nancy))) there will be a bit of rocking back and forth to balance the dark with the light in the river but I needed to start a new project with this journey through the seasons. Autumn Moon (Honesty) will be a medicine bag for holding crystals for the crystal healer who is working her magic with distance healing for a dear friend who is doing it tough with brain cancer.
Sooooo many GORGEOUS Mo-moons ! Whoever makes them first, you make them even more beautiful ! Love that golden Autumn moon !
Happy belated birthday dear Mo ! ❤
(((Els))) I love these lines by Montaigne about working with other people’s words;
“These are other men’s flowers, only the string that binds them is my own”
from ‘The Dark Flood Rises’ by Margaret Drabble (p123)
& thanks for the birthday wishes, I love Pisces time of the year!
You bind your moons quite good 🙂
I’m seeing all the personalities of each moon!
(((Dee))) each moon is marking this journey through time with memories of Julie & those ladders hold fast to the dreams of one day moving to the mountains…
Just a great big “OH….!” with sighs for all of this glowing beauty.
(((Hazel))) Fish Moon Sister!
So beautiful, all of it. All the baby lunaria is popping up here. Another cycle, : )
(((Deb))) I look forward to growing Honesty easily in the mountains as it really struggles here in Sydney when the mercury goes over 40˚C (104˚F) in summer, we give it an ice cube mulch on those days!
As always, the details are amazing.
(((Jude))) deep bow to you, Glennis & Ulrike making such beautiful moons to bind for this journey!
Your beautiful work makes my old heart sing Mo…Have some goodies to send to you soon….ox
(((Marg))) you are such a treasure, that Silkworm thread is perfect for the Honesty!
Wow MC – just an amazing ever growing piece of work – such thought, detail and inclusion of bits and pieces from other spirits. Go well. B
(((Barry))) a year for honouring the passing of time and the love of dear friends
The scans have added soooo much to the story Mo – the intricate stitches and details are a joy to behold. It’s as if I could touch it thru the screen! The ladder, the ladder, the ladder…hold tight to dreams, go well.
(((Fiona))) the boar bristles work so purrfectly for the ladders I love their springy tensile nature!
Pisces is my favorite time of year (being one myself). But March brings the worm moon, when worms and larvae of all kinds begin to appear. Also it’s a good time in some places to start to hatch silkworms to feed on the newest and most tender mulberry shoots.
(((Glennis))) another Fish Sister!
Simply stunning, Mo! Thank you for sharing this wonderful work. I am sitting here drooling. Such detail. And all the thoughts that are embedded within the works must be so rich.
(((Rose))) for the love of the moon, the magic of friendship and the power of dreams
this is such a lovely post. The lunaria tribute is magnificent but that pisces dark moon is sooooo eloquent I feel like I stopped breathing while I took it in. not held my breath – just was in it and didn’t need to breathe.
(((Acey))) for the love of the moon…
