it’s finished for now, in 2 hours I am going to have cataract surgery on my left eye
it will be interesting to see how the colours look with renovated vision
the right eye will be done in a few months
seems appropriate that my name came up on the public wait list for surgery in this year of 2020 vision
and to put this in perspective Tim Minchin wrote this song

If you don’t mind my asking how long were you on the wait list .. just curious. Your cosmic seedling is Amazing. I will send out prayers that your surgery goes well.
(((Tina))) just over 4 years, my name came up last year in May but I wasn’t ready, the surgeon agreed to put it off til now!
Love Tim’s work…..now lets thank God for providing the best surgeon for bringing your sight back to the 20/20 eyesight you were born with. By the time you read this, I trust you will be home and resting and all is well…and bright…and colourful…..Lots of healing waves across the border which just out of interest will be closed between our 2 states tomorrow midnight. BTW your now inked drawing looks amazingly detailed….but then again, that is one of the things you do best.
(((Eliene))) home again with a new lens, the surgeon will take the eye patch off tomorrow morning and do the first lot of eye drops. We’re taking the week off from the gardening as I can’t do anything that requires looking down which is tricky cause just about everything I do is about looking down, am kneeling on the floor to write this reply!

(((Peggy))) did some fine needle lace mending early this morning with the glasses I use for close up work and could see better than before the surgery so I’m not going to have to take any time off from the artwork but will have to be careful with the gardening next week, have taken this week off.

I’m wondering if I should break my quarantine (here in California, not far from Grace) Sunday. We have Destiny Church (a square block church with three huuuuuuuge white crosses in front that are lit up at night, and can be seen from two freeways). They have emphatically decided to break the closure mandate from the governor, required because Covid cases have spiked so high. I’m wondering if I should go (in my mask), and ask someone (not likely in a mask) if they would please pray for your eyes.
They should pray for our country, and for a spark of intelligent life.
we have to remember to laugh even in these strange dark days!
