I’ve been thinking and think of OMC for days. How is he doing? Sometimes darkness is just what we need to hold us. Yours is beautiful. xo to you both.
(((Nancy))) Rod is feeling better every day, he is on light duties with the gardening & indoor plant hire & has his appetite back but is still getting a fair bit of pain with the stent which will be ongoing til the kidney stone is gone and the stent can be removed but it’s a lot better than it was a week ago!
Unsure of the last word/ lid? hid?…otherwise dark enough to carry the weight. I look forward to Rods song and to his feeling better.
(((Michelle))) hmmm… maybe I should take it apart & embroider the words again on a fresh piece of the black suede but am hoping this different photo is clearer…
the last line is meant to read “so I can see the light on the hill”
Just fabulous Mo! Wishing Rod a speedy recovery. xx
(((René))) he should be all better by xmas, in the mean time he’s just taking it gently day by day.
Ah….that light on the hill….brings hope…Sending love to you both and all the very best to Rod for healing times and renewed strength.
(((Christina))) namaste
Dark, but not too dark. As it says…. dark enough to show the light. I’m glad Rod is moving towards the light.
(((Dana))) me too!
BEAUTIFUL…….ox
(((Margaret))) am looking forward to seeing this one framed, playing around with some ideas for several layers of black matt in a deep black box frame or maybe even something gothic with museum quality glass, keeping the dust off that black suede is a bugger!
((((Mo)))) So good to hear Rod is improving, and taking it slowly. This new song will mean a lot to you both. Your image is wonderful, not too dark but to see the light on the hill you need some darkness. Healing thoughts to Rod and much love to both of you.
(((Carol))) thanks for the good words
Beautiful work, your black star and love to you both.
(((Louise))) it’s a wild thing!
dark determines its Self, we watch for that light
(((Grace))) this one has been a wild ride in the making, requiring many undoings & ugly phases in the process, Rod’s words make sense of it
wow this is wonderful. 🙂

(((Nancy))) looking forward to hearing the song recorded when Old Man Crow gets back on deck!
Hope he is recovering well. Best wishes.
(((Leonie))) he’s just gone up to the pub for a beer for the first time in 3 weeks!
Now that sounds like he’s improving!😊🍺
Dark yes but it is enchanting because there is a shimmer, not just from the words or how the light shines on the center coiled part but because this shimmer of light is coming from healing and the quiet joy of knowing that Rod is feeling better and most of all, that he will be recording this in the near future…that is the best medicine of all!
(((Marti))) Old Man Crow was singing in the van on our way home from gardening yesterday, it’s such a beautiful song, the recording will happen soon!
Ahhhh Mo this is sooooo great !!!
(is Man doing well ??? all the best !)
(((Els))) the man is feeling better every day, the couple of beers up at the pub last night really helped him relax & get some much needed sleep!
Love this delicate piece, Mo. your stitching and the phrase evokes many images and meanings. Much sympathy to Rod. Look forward to seeing it and hearing the accompaniment.
(((Lizette))) thanks for the good words!
Mo, i think there are anxious moments and great relief worked in this oh so beautiful piece of art.you work so beautiful and it must be a delight to see and hear Rods music at the same time. Rod going to the bar, enjoy his beer and sleep better….good sign no?
Love to you and healing wishes for Rod….
(((Yvette))) the beer really helped Old Man Crow relax, he slept better than he had in weeks!
Dark times – light times .. all has it´s place in life. So good that all is going better. My best wishes to both of you.
(((Doris)))
Gorgeous, Mo, how it glows! & Happy to hear healing is happening.
