a pennant from Grace Forrest Maestas of Windthread just flew in
with a note
love has wings
Grace listens to the spirit of the cloth
meeting old friends round the corner of the gathering
you can see more of Grace’s deeply spiritwise magic over on Windthread
and about her process making this pennant here, here, here & here
thank you (((Grace)))

A world is held here in grace’s moving cloth, a world made up of the manzanita color of the wedding cloth, affixed to the kaleidoscope of color from Deb. L’s cloth that conveys the myriad of colors in the sky, in the land. Connection from land from across the sea is here; connection in the soft, shimmery cloth that moves with the spirit of itself, of how it enfolds, quietly and strongly attaching itself to a larger cloth; connection in the felt purpose of coming together..

I look at grace’s pennant and I find grace in the simplicity and beauty of the wedding gown, colored with manzanita from her new land, her Hill. The ripples of the wedding cloth, calm with color, alive with movement, wings unfolding, wings that that remind me of arms. Here, arms outstretched from one corner of the world to the other, arms that hold, that speak of connecting, as this cloth is connected to the kaleidoscope of color on Deb’s backdrop cloth, both entwined. When we dream of a world where Love is the answer, we embrace the belief that the impossible is possible, that calm and exuberance can come together, that quiet joy as well as joyful strength are in harmony and in that harmony, we find a sense of belonging that signifies to one and all, that we can do this, that we can make the world a better, more loving place…grace’s pennant speaks deeply to me of this.

  4. Martine says:

Among the sisters. How good this feels.
I can’t imagine living in the presence of them all together

  7. Eliene says:

The colours, the imagery…flying free to touch the hearts of so many who see that Love is the key.

  8. Fiona says:

It is like a beautiful tropical bird…

  9. deemallon says:

Perhaps like a Phoenix rising from the fire?

  10. ravenandsparrow says:

It is no wonder that everyone has spoken of wings and flight when pondering Grace’s pennant. The simple coloration of the wedding scrap with its voluptuous folds and glossy texture against the rough variations of the background pennant instantly evokes a sense of release and freedom….the inner spirit uncaged. It is so very Grace-full.

  11. Barry says:

So much thought goes into these. B

  12. fiberels says:
