It looks creaturely … and if that isn’t a word, it should be
(((Liz))) creaturely is a purrfect description for this very powerful little being!
yes it does have some personality :). I did not have a plan – i gathered the materials and it emerged from that – a ‘love seeding comet being’ – thank you
Now what I love about this talisman is that it’s name, Re-Generator sounds fierce yet belongs to such a benign spirit. I especially think of this time of harvest and this talisman as a spirit of gathering and actually no pun intended here, it’s just that as I read how Shona created it, well it all fits. We generate seeds of hope, understanding, compassion each time that we reach out to connect with one another and that connection, regenerates into love as we come to understand that we are all one…
(((Marti))) Shona makes such good magic with meticulous attention to detail and impeccable intent!
Hi Marti -i love your reading of and gleaning from the Re-Generator ( aka ‘love seeding comet being’) – the 3 hearts that form the whole seedpod are particularly powerful symbols (and I believe activators). Thanks so much for your taking the time to write your response.
Creaturely indeed, and other-wordly.
(((Nanette))) indeed!
Leuk hoor madame Yvette *>*
(((Annette))) welcome to It’s Crow Time and thanks for visiting!
MC – that talisman has a really ancient spirit about it. B
(((Barry))) Shona works with the spirits of our ancient land with such deep love and respect.
PS I wrote this earlier
OMG I hung Shona’s ‘triple hearted love seeding comet being’ upside down!
& then deleted it but have played with a photo in photoshop and will put it up here right now
Mo – I pondered the same – it works both ways ( of course:) but it will be easier to hang the way you have it – i think. look forward to seeing it upsidedown/rightsideup/topsyturvy 🙂
(((Shona))) I’m in two minds… had a go at pinning it up the other way ’round and like it better going with the flow of the branch… but then again… will see what it wants!
the original way is the one! xx
this commentary is a surprise and unexpected gift to me. I am loving all your the unique responses to the talisman that made itself through me. blessings ……..
Your art is so filled with secrets and love……….wish i could hold it in my hands.
(((Martine))) I have longed to touch Shona’s work for years!
GORGEOUS…ox
(((Marg))) a little beauty!
Agree with Barry about the “ancient spirit” of the thing. It looks like a tiny musical instrument. For the plant devas?
(((Dee))) I asked Shona what the grass and seed pods are in her talisman & she replied-
“The grass from googling is this ( i think) Purpletop Rhodes grass Chloris inflata – a weed! found on the road side. I cant find the seed pods on google. Its from a fine vine. It could be a ‘weed’ too – found in a eucalypt forest on a cheese tree. I like the 3-heart symbolism of that seedcase. I like ‘weeds’ 🙂 they fill a spot in the progression of plants and serve a purpose there.”
This one is special too Mo – simplicity, yet such a caring and calm energy emanates. I think the talisfolk are just stunning.
(((Fiona))) love your “talisfolk” what a beautiful new word to describe the love pouring in with all these talismans, Shona is a master (or should I say mistress?) of making magical connections with our beautiful broken world.
