My first thought was “customs let in a feather!” that opens up possibilities! The talisman is lovely . . . from around the northern hemisphere and sent to the south.
I’m headed to my workroom. 😉

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Wendy))) feathers, bones, twigs, seeds and leaves risk getting fumigated by Australian customs but Doris’s talisman has slipped through safe and sound guided by good magical intent!

      • perlhuhn52 says:

O Mo I didn’t know that but I cleaned the feather thoroughly.

        • Mo Crow says:

(((Doris))) the love and magic held in your talisman carried it safely here!
here’s what I wrote back in July last year about making the talismans
“they can be made of anything that speaks from the heart of love for our beautiful broken world
cloth, stitch, metal, buttons, feathers, shells, stone, bone, wood, paper, etc”
Australia has always had strict quarantine rules, back in the 70’s everyone travelling by air was fumigated with spray cans of insecticide on landing before leaving the plane. So for those who want to send feathers, twigs, rocks, bones, etc safely, clean the article thoroughly and declare it on the customs form at the post office.

  2. Nanette says:

So beautiful. I love the vibrant orange. And so many talismans now, they look wonderful against the wrapping of blue. I’ve had intermittent internet because of nbn, and haven’t been keeping up……..time for a wander backwards. x

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Nanette))) it’s such a joy finding where each talisman fits in along the branch & re the nbn, am putting off connecting as long as we can til they get all the kinks ironed out (if they can!)

      • Nanette says:

I’m not connected yet, this is all the tests and trials they’re running to make sure all the relay boxes/nodes are working, and that homes can be connected to the new infrastructure. So much cabling was lost in the floods last year, including all of mine.
You’re intuitive placement is a joy to see 🙂

  3. O.M. GOODNESS how astounding is your project with every new arrival. I am heading for a brief retreat in Massachusetts next week and have packed my pieces, baubles, threads and needles in my travel case thinking there will be time to work on my offering away from home. Love to all.

  4. Marti says:

One world, one planet, one people, Doris’s gloriously colored talisman proudly sings this refrain and the melody connects deep down in the marrow. This talisman is alive, pulsing with Love, dancing with understanding, beaming with the most important message of our times. In standing together, we the people, signify that community, compassion and consideration, fuels the Love that we all share for each other, for our Earth and so it goes and so do we and we continue, in hope, in solidarity and in the promise that we never give up to help each other, to help our countries, to help our one precious Home.

  5. Marti says:

And one more note: to see this collection of unique, lovely and spirit giving talismans is to see protection enfolding our world and that is so vital.

  6. Nancy says:

There is amazed delight in seeing them all together like this. So much beauty and goodness here!

  7. perlhuhn52 says:

Mo I am so happy to be part of this project. It gives me hope for the future. Thank you for your words and thanks for all your comments.

  8. Els says:

    It’s growing and glowing …
    Beautiful Doris !!!

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Els))) I love the contrast between the glowing orange silk, beads and binding and the electric blue leather, it needed to be stitched into the branch straight away then all the talismans that have arrived so far starting finding their places, magic days!

  9. deemallon says:

How international Doris’s talisman. How fitting with her words and the spirit of the project.

  10. Liz A says:

How wonderful to take a wander to see all the talismans (talismen?) … and belated thanks for putting me on to new Kindred Spirits throughout this project. I look forward to following Doris’ Doppelstich … along with many others.

  11. Dotti says:

again I say What a wonderful person you are Mo

  12. Fiona says:

What a genius idea to include the talisfolk; and for them to be tiny tiny tiny – makes them seem even more precious. They are becoming one with that electric blue – a marvel is unfolding…
