Els Snieder has woven, layered and stitched her pennant full of love
and sent a leaf brooch, heart talisman, flower seeds and an intriguing little folding charm
an appliqued, woven & embroidered treasure
so many beautiful textures and details, those tiny blue hearts!
beautiful old lace
a tiny heart bead in the point of the tail
& on the other side
an appliqued heart and the dream stitched immaculately on dotted net
I dream of a world
where love is the answer
meeting The Gathering!
Els is stitching a Textile Jewel every day this month for the Pink Ribbon Fund
namaste beautiful heart!

  2. Eliene says:

This one is gorgeous too….it’s all starting to come together…..all this love from around the globe.

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Eliene))) all the layers and details in Els’s dream of a pennant astound and remind me of one of the best artist statement’s ever
“sews poems into shadows, pillows, and street corners.”
written by Maria José Gonzalez Arredondo in the gallery catalogue for the Object Poems show (now sadly deleted) at 23 Sandy Gallery in 2011 when I bought Through an Object Poem by her husband Mark Owens

  3. deemallon says:

So many pathways around the pennant- tracing along stitched curves, or jumping heart to heart, or following the woven lines.

  4. Beth says:

    Such beautiful trail of hearts!

  5. The detail here astounds me.

  6. Liz A says:

The pace quickens, as this is the third pennant in a row to show up in my morning blog walk … and as I have before, I went to see the making … and added yet another Kindred Spirit to follow in the future.

There is so much to love on this one … and it is interesting to see how many of the pennants have blue in them. The intricate collaging of cloth and fine stitching are wondrous.

    Love, love, love …

  7. Rene says:

  13. Mo Crow says:

    here’s a beautiful spiritwise comment from Marti in New Mexico who has been offline for a few weeks;
“Els’s exquisitely stitched trail of hearts, path-making and reminding us all that Love is large, Love is small, it is layered and sometimes, we need to dig through to find it but we do so, oftentimes easier when we walk together in hope and spirit.”

  14. Fiona says:

What a wonderful journey through a single pennant – so much goodness here Mo!
