What holds so strongly in Deb’s heart warming talisman is generational love; how it holds within families and because it does, it transmits to others, to our communities, to our planet…from the courage and great heart of our immigrants, comes tradition and steadfastness and Deb’s talisman is so right for I Dream of a World Where Love is the Answer. I am especially moved by the story behind the talisman as both of my parents too came to this country via Ellis Island, learning English after they had been here for a while.
(((Marti))) I love how Deb pares her work to the essence with such deep love for our world
Hi Marti, Thanks so much for these kind words! So much of what we learn and know about love starts with our families…not just by birth but the ones we choose too.
So full of history, connections and meaning. B
(((Barry))) I love how each piece of cloth & thread hold together with such deep love

Deb~ What a wonderful story of a strong woman in your own family history. I am instantly reminded of the timeliness of your story as it connects directly to the present day. We are all the threads that hold love together. Thank you for your contribution to the well-being of our world. xo
Hi Nancy! Yes, it was something that clicked when I was thinking about our current situation and I was thinking about the immigrants in my family. None of this is new and that adds to the heart break of it all…. Much love to you!
The memories in that cloth inspire me to be that grandma for the young ones today.
the simple stitch that holds the love….YES.
How Deb’s talisman speaks for so many of us who have immigrant stories to tell …
Isn’t it amazing how a few bits of cloth and thread can hold a world of stories and love?
A talisman of stitches, fabric and love…precious.
there is something so poetic about the one knot — and it doesn’t surprise me that it comes from Deb — someone so keyed into the relationship between her threads and the natural world
Just wanted to thank everyone and say how much I appreciate these thoughts…
lovely & loving
