What holds so strongly in Deb’s heart warming talisman is generational love; how it holds within families and because it does, it transmits to others, to our communities, to our planet…from the courage and great heart of our immigrants, comes tradition and steadfastness and Deb’s talisman is so right for I Dream of a World Where Love is the Answer. I am especially moved by the story behind the talisman as both of my parents too came to this country via Ellis Island, learning English after they had been here for a while.

there is something so poetic about the one knot — and it doesn’t surprise me that it comes from Deb — someone so keyed into the relationship between her threads and the natural world
