René Walkin’s pennant has flown all the way from England to join The Gathering!
stitching so much love into the dream
love the voluptuous textures of the silk stitches and rusted tattered edge
adding weight to the cloth
the rainbow edge
mother of pearl buttons
the tassled tail
the delicate pink of the heart chakra is from avocado pips & skins !
thank you for making such beautiful magic René, Braille for the Soul indeed!
here’s the link to see all the pennants and talismans gathering for the dream

Love the stardust stitching … and the words in yet another hand. The magic continues to build …
(((Liz))) the feel of Rene’s silken stitching is so sensuous, love the way the pennants are talking to each other !
How many pennants did you send out .. each one so far has been so beautiful and so different .. like the women that have made them.
(((Tina))) the skirt of the wedding dress was cut up into 44 pennants that flew out at the end of June last year, the gathering of pennants and talismans is building such good magic as each one arrives!
44 .. oh my goodness .. so many more to look forward to seeing. They have all been amazing.
Rene’s has a real shimmer — the way those buttons catch the light and that rainbow binding.
(((Dee))) I love how each pennant holds so much hope for our beautiful broken world, binding the magic of love and compassion with each & every stitch!
another beauty ….!
(((Els))) René makes such beautiful magic straight from the heart
So beautiful…………..so much love…………
(((Martine))) it glows with such deep heart!
Rene’s pennant has a luminosity that reaches out to one and all: the shimmer of stitches that flow with words that seem to vibrate with hope, love and intention; the rainbow bits of cloth all around the pennant that speak so strongly of each of us on this planet; the soft transcendent glow from the mother of pearl buttons… the whole of inclusiveness in this pennant is a joy to behold.
(((Marti))) you have such a beautiful way with words giving voice to all the feelings that rise up holding René’s work!
Hi MC – no doubt that folk are really going to a lot of trouble with the pennants – a very good vibe with all of them B
(((Barry))) all jammin’ on love is the answer!
such lovely work, hope all is well with you
(((Susan))) Rene’s work is so beautiful to hold in the hand with the weight of the stitching and beads, we’re enjoying such beautiful autumn weather here in the Land Down Under, all the gardens are slowing down giving more time for the art and music, I love this time of year!
The glimmering delicacy of Rene’s pennant is enchanting. I especially admire how she treated the edges. Both the soft color gradations of the binding on one side, and the careful stitching of the ragged opposite that both contains and highlights its irregularities, are masterful. It makes me think of lingerie.
(((Dana))) René’s pennant holds such a delicate yet raw beauty, it feels delicious!
The intricate stitching combined with the ragged edge are striking, mapping & holding a path of love.
(((Hazel))) I love that ragged edge, Rene’s stitching is exquisite!
