Thanks for sharing this wonderful event Mo. I love seeing her art in that park with the majestic tree.
And ofcourse seeing you smiling………….
(((Martine))) Gab’s art is working such good magic for our beautiful broken world, a deeply committed activist with a huge heart, here’s a quote from her “Mystic Cities” exhibition in May last year-
“What amazes me is that when i make these objects, positive change occurs. Who says they don’t have agency???”
In a word, WOW! Looking at all of these cloths of vibrant color bedecked with mystical markings and symbols, strung across the land, is so powerful. These cloths, in a strong sense, flags for to me, they are flags, emissaries of Spirit, calling to the consciousness of all us, speak of our most basic connection between ourselves and the land. For several years, when we were nomads across the US, settling down into our rental home, one of my first actions was to string dyed cloths in trees, marking my presence but more than that, acknowledging the land. This feels like that on such a magnificent scale..
(((Marti))) I love how Gab’s artful magic is bringing the community together with such a delightful sense of light and hope and good humour honouring the spirits of place, as you say “si se puede”!
Wow! This is so full of goodness and heart! Thank you for the introduction to her and her work and the meaning of ‘sigil’…which I learned more about here:

That corner of her studio invites me to look and dream for hours. So earthy and ‘real’.
The flags among the trees and greenery are so colorful and powerful!
So, thank you Mo for sharing!
