with the pristine right hand glove waiting for its stars
then I need to make a simple wire armature so they can be seen front and back or alternatively suspend them from the fingertips with very fine thread…

Love the sense of movement evoked by the trailing threads
(((Liz))) they can fly!
“Reaching for the Stars” is wonderful! I enjoy each post showing your progress with the concept and design execution.

(((Kristin))) the right hand glove will have less stars as I would like to get them finished by early March & get onto binding The Gathering!

(((Dee))) they’re really getting there!
Stunning!!! Is there room for 1 blue moon amongst the stars on the other….just another reason to use some more of that magical blue.
(((Eliene))) ooooh what a good idea, will see if it works!

(((Debbie))) they work!
Mo, the glove is stunning! I love how the stars are clustered at the end and the threads are still there!
I have yet to do my mothers gloves, I was going to stuff them and use a dowel rod in a base, yours would be wonderful suspended, like kites, just an idea
(((Susan))) will see what happens when the right hand glove is finished in early March

Oh, what it must feel like to wear these! LOVE them.
(((Hazel))) I’m in love too but they are from the 1940’s when people were petite (my big gardener’s hands only fit halfway up the sleeves) am hoping my elegant 85 year old friend will agree to model them when they are finished in March!
Wondrous magic to have stars at your fingertips and you do for these gloves have come to life in the nebula of your creativity and imagination Mo. Scattered stars, at fingertips, the length of the arm, dangling at the cuffs, a trail of stardust, of illumination that goes beyond the ordinary to the extraordinary and lights up our hearts upon viewing…AND that is amazing to me for I am only viewing them through the lens of this computer screen. I love the phrase, ” magic afoot” but here, magic is so at hand. Mo, you so often speak of good magic, well my dear, here it is in all of its glory. What it must be like to see these star shining gloves in person…
(((Marti))) thank you for these wonderfully well wrought words!
