An enchanting piece. I’m wondering, would bat claws help me see in daytime darkness? That would indeed be potent magic.
(((Wendy))) the grey headed flying fox aka Australian fruit bat can see & fly in the daylight hours but is a nocturnal being
what a magnificent talisman. The story of the symbolism shared in the description are enlightening.. what a beautiful piece to wear..a piece of great power.
Kristin
(((Kristin))) Lapis Lazuli has such a beautiful name like liquid night
it looks alive
(((Dee))) it does feel very lively on and flew together once I got going!
Absolutely beautiful Mo
(((Bronwyn))) fits well with Old Man Crow’s new song, it’s 3am… again!
Bat claws! You have such a treasure trove to weave your magic with, Mo!
(((Hazel))) Mother Nature is very generous
stunning necklace Mo! love the symbolism
(((Susan))) these words from “A Field Guide to Getting Lost” by Rebecca Solnit are in there too-
“…. The weight of a dream is not in proportion to it’s size. Some dreams are made of fog, some of lace, some of lead. Some dreams seem to be made out of less than the usual debris of the psyche than bolts of lightning sent from outside.”
gathering afoot here for peace!
look forward to seeing where the dreaming takes you!
The word shamanic came to me … this piece feels as potent as the night it carries in its name
(((Liz))) there is deep magic in the witching hour
i love the carnelian…used to have a stone….what became of it?
(((Grace))) your magic is set deep in this piece, x fingers your carnelian will show up when it’s ready, I have two tiny emeralds that I keep hoping will reapppear as I work my way through the collected stuff of a lifetime, haven’t seen them for 30 years…
bat claws!!!
(((Velma))) they are such beautiful animals, important pollinators for our fragile Australian ecosystem, when the Ironbark across the road is in flower there’s a party every night!
The Bat claws are beautiful, and I LOVE Bats….ox
(((Margaret))) they have such beautiful faces, I love watching them in their big camp at Centennial Park during the day
the beads are exquisite!
(((Susan))) vintage beads hold their stories beautifully
We had lots of Bats around, when we lived in Melbourne, but I think it’s too cold for them here. Although we do have lots of Micro bats here, which are gorgeous. Got to hold one once when it came inside, so fragile!!….ox
when I lived out in the bush half a lifetime ago a tiny microbat lived under my raincoat hanging on the back door, it would take a little spin around the room each evening before flying out for the night, so swift it was almost invisible!
