“… thoughts on time. She won’t explain that time comes out of the future, which does not yet exist, into the present, which has no duration, and into the past, which has ceased to be.”
All the Beloved Ghosts by Alison Macleod (p225)

  5. Marti says:

Mo, in a word you are stunning, I know you have long hair but for just a moment with that dress and your hair arranged in that wonderful fashion, I saw a woman from the 20’s, , an elegant flapper…Thought you might get a kick out of this definition of flapper: “in the 1920s,a fashionable young woman intent on enjoying herself and flouting conventional standards of behavior.”

  6. snicklefritzin43 says:

(((Michelle))) we’ve just finished the spring mulching and fertilizing of our inner city gardens, the work keeps us fit as well as paying the rent and putting food on the table. I love discovering the work of new authors, this one was a random pick at the local library, I liked the title, Alison Macleod is brilliant look forward to reading more of her work!

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Jude))) Old Man Crow and I garden to pay the rent and keep food on the table, the art and music are soul food, one of the really good things I discovered when I got so sick back in 2004 that I couldn’t draw or garden for a few months was I missed doing both equally. One day our customers will say we’re too old but we still have a few good years in us yet!
