Book of Honesty X Mo17
graphite and ink on Moulin de Larroque handmade watercolour paper, stitched Lunaria pods
Wow! You capture the delicacy of the lunaria pods so beautifully.
(((Heather))) it’s such a beautiful plant + the paper is so very soft it keeps the lines honest
This is a really beautiful project, Mo. xoxo
(((Judy))) watching the process since I crossed the halfway line at 7 (there will be 13 pages for the 13 moons of the year) the stitched pods are working better than the drawings!
as always overwhelmd by your art……is their something you don’t master ( poems..links….you always recognise
i missed the sicness of Ariel p cat…but it goes better now i red?
(((Yvette))) thanks for the encouragement & good vibes, we are “just going” (as Jude says) week to week with Ariel, he’s getting lots of yummy treats and cuddles. The vet is keeping an eye on his condition & medication until he is ready to take his leave, its a heart wrenchingly beautiful time.
Oh I love this…Honesty is one of those truly magical plants.
(((Deb))) it’s so good to connect with this plant again after many years, the Honesty cloth from last year was working from memory as the climate here in Sydney is too hot and humid so I asked friends who live in the mountains to gather a few bunches to frame the cloth. That idea didn’t work so the piece has been framed professionally for “The GPS has no idea where I am going” exhibition at Artsite Gallery next month.
I would love to hold this in my hands and be able to turn the pages back and forth!
(((Susi))) I’m looking forward to the binding!
more Lunaria twins …
(((Els))) there’s only one page to go, will scan XII and post it when we get back from work in another couple of hours
So very beautiful, Mo! Your drawings are superb. Love to Ariel, he’s in such good, loving hands. ((((Ariel))))
(((Carol))) Ariel goes back to the vet this arvo at 4 he’s thin but enjoying tasty treats when offered one morsel at a time by hand, he likes making new rules for his people!
