Beautiful wand..surely there will be nothing too dark when this is carried for light…the sketch, your words…all wrapping Ariel in your love as this time of transition moves forward. I am holding you all in love and light…..peace be with you.
Kristin
(((Kristin))) love and light
((( Mo ))) I’m so sorry.
(((Beth))) I’m trying to be all grown up and cool about letting go with grace yet tremble in tears too, am wondering if we should shave our heads and eyebrows like the ancient Egyptians did when the cat of the house died
Oh Mo….losing Ariel is such a hard one. There is no way to be cool about this, but I know you will help him transition as gracefully as possible.
(((Dana))) the hard part is getting the meds into him once a day calmly, have had to resort to Old Man Crow swaddling him in a towel whilst I get him to open his mouth enough to get the syringe full of anti-inflammatories in and swallowed without getting bitten, he is coping admirably but doesn’t enjoy the indignity!
So sorry, Mo. Our sweet pets are so hard to part with. Much love to you all and peaceful transition for sweet Ariel.
(((Susan))) we go back to the vet on Thursday evening, the anti-inflammatories are giving him some relief from the growth in his bladder, he is eating a bit more this morning than he has for over a week but he has lost so much weight… & he has always loved food, the initial P is for Pig as well as Pussy and Potentate!
Ariel, our thoughts and gentle hugs are with you. We know you will leave like the noble cat you are.
Mo and Rod, we send the thoughts only cats and cat people understand. (( ))
(((Di, Sporran & Geiger)))
XXX
(((Wendy))) we’re trying to be as cool and calm as Ariel, his leaving will make a huge hole in our home
I am so sorry. They burn bright, but too fast, our feline soul mates.
(((Charlotte))) these are the bittersweet golden days
Love and light Mo… Flow with his rhythm.. feel our World Wide Web of hugs
(((Susi)))
Oh! No!….Mo..so sad. Ariel is such a beautiful being…part of all our lives through your art and your sharing….
(((Christina))) this new round of anti-inflammatories is working, he has just eaten a piece of smoked salmon from one of our gardening customers and some cat crunchies, it’s the first time he has felt like eating more than a mouthful of food in well over a week!
That is such good news…so pleased Ariel is feeling more comfortable. Many people are using turmeric for their animals (for humans too) as recommended by a vet, to help inflammation with great results. I think it is turmeric mixed with coconut oil. Will try to find the link…
I bought some turmeric recently to help with arthritis as we are all getting a bit creaky, not sure if Ariel will like the taste, he’s getting very fussy but sure is enjoying that smoked salmon!
Mo … so saddened by this and wishing you all peace
(((Liz))) he is feeling so much better this afternoon, still not holding out much hope but the medication is giving him a much better quality of life
Oh Mo, watching him you will need some pain killers for yourself, i know……………
(((Martine))) you are so right!
Awww….(((tears))) Most beautiful of friendships is so, so, so hard to let go of. You have made a truly lovely tribute here dear Mo and Rod. May your love carry you through and may he be free.
(((Michelle))) namaste
Dear Mo and Rod, dearest Ariel… Words fail me as tears fall for you all. Go gently, sweet Potentate, brave hearts, Mo and Rod. You are surrounded by love.
(((Carol))) it’s all so sad that I needed to watch the most ridiculous cover of Highway to Hell ever again
it’s the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!
Oh Mo, I came here to say how sad I was for you all as Ariel begins to leave you – cats are such deep and caring and true companions; we are thinking of you and hope the the next few days are a bit lighter. But oh my, that H2H version was hilarious and B and I sat here laughing and laughing. Thanks for sharing it – and we are both sending you peace and gentle hugs across the miles. What a reminder of life and living it crazy in amongst sadness…
(((Fiona))) Ariel is feeling so much better today & getting back to his good greedy self, whatever is in these non steroidal anti-inflammatories is working good magic along with all the good vibes!
((((Mo)))) You made me smile! Do love lederhosen…
So sorry, Mo! I came across one of your lovely Ariel cat cards a few days ago. May he enjoy more salmon and love from you and then go in peace.
(((Dee))) Ariel is eating greedily for the first time in 10 days! The meds are not addressing the underlying cause which is most likely a tumour on the bladder but with the way he is bouncing around we may well have Ariel around for a good bit longer, really thought Friday was going to be the day for him to leave this mortal coil, will see what sort of time frame the vet recommends on Thursday evening but we’re doing the happy dance here this morning!
So glad Ariel P Cat is feeling better, love and hugs to you all! xxx
(((Julie)))
I wish him well through and beyond his passing. Seems he will drift off when he’s ready. I am sad for you and Rod, and send you my love.
(((Liz)))
All our love to Ariel and to you and Rod. Our Georgina has discovered a new life through eating bits of our toast of a morning, but has to have footstools to climb onto her favourite resting spots.
(((Leonie))) he is feeling so much better today, so good to see him eating with gusto!
Ahhhhh missed this beauty !
(((Els))) we go back to the vet this evening, will find out what sort of time frame we have left with our beautiful friend…
Do I understand well that Ariel P Cat is ill, Mo?
(((Tilly))) Ariel has a tumour growing on his bladder, the anti-inflammatory medication is keeping him comfortable, the vet is keeping an eye on him week to week, we will miss him so much when he goes…
Dear Mo, sending thoughts for all of you, I know this piece of time & how hard it can be, both the not knowing & the knowing. They hold such a piece of our souls. ox
(((Hazel))) the good vibes and wonderful vet are helping make this sad journey of letting go bearable
Dear Mo
sending plurking vibes and prayers.
I know how difficult this is. I am
so sorry. I hope Ariel is not much in pain now.
Ariel PCat was also to me special. 😻
I rremember the journey with the ABC book .😻 So special
My cat Jaydee purrs to you to wish you all you need to help to let go.😻 and is purring. Try to purr too Rod and Mo. Feel it in your body, visualize it and purr to Ariel P. Cat ( says Jaydee)
Hi Ariel P Cat. May your spirit keep Mo and Rod motivated and inspirated.
May the pain be bearable.
((( hug))) from Tilly purrs from Jaydee
(((Tilly & Jaydee))) we’re just going week to week with the vet keeping an eye on the meds and his condition, Ariel is feeling comfortable, clear eyed, his coat is shining and he is able to relieve himself, we won’t do surgery, chemo or radiation so this is an end game but we have more time, Hooray!
Hurray that you three have more time.
indeed!
The wand is a beauty😻
those whiskers are so lively!
I am so sorry for your hard days of letting go and wish you grace in embracing the dying as well as you have the living. (((hugs)))
(((Nancy))) there is such a deep heart wrenching imagining our home without the P… we are savouring every day we have left
