lovely!
(((Sue))) a friend in the highlands has promised to gather some stems of Honesty pods in autumn for framing as a free standing piece so the front and back can be seen
I have a bag full of honesty pods if you would like some
(((Sue))) I have plenty, friends who live in the mountains on the outskirts of Sydney gathered bunches for me this summer!

(((Helen))) I have no words left, just caving it reading “A Field Guide to Getting Lost on this scorchingly hot day, looking forward to the Southerly Buster cooling everything down this evening…
“May we humans live in such a way that the land for whom we are grateful, will be grateful for our presence, in return.”
Robin Wall Kimmerer
Yes indeed. I have been reading a little of Robin Wall Kimmerer – Braiding Sweetgrass every night for this past few moons..
(((Susi))) we need the brave writers who help us find hope in these dark times more than ever
I’m totally in love with this piece, Mo! Seasons greetings to you as well!
I love this time of the year, letting go with love for all that was and looking forward to what the New Year will bring…
So very beautiful, wherever we find the moon. Picking up A Field Guide to getting lost from the library today, but I know I’m just going to get my own copy. 🙂
there is such reassurance in every phase of the Moon’s ever changing face, here’s a favourite poem by WB Yeats
The Cat And The Moon
The cat went here and there
And the moon spun round like a top,
And the nearest kin of the moon,
The creeping cat, looked up.
Black Minnaloushe stared at the moon,
For, wander and wail as he would,
The pure cold light in the sky
Troubled his animal blood.
Minnaloushe runs in the grass
Lifting his delicate feet.
Do you dance, Minnaloushe, do you dance?
When two close kindred meet.
What better than call a dance?
Maybe the moon may learn,
Tired of that courtly fashion,
A new dance turn.
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
From moonlit place to place,
The sacred moon overhead
Has taken a new phase.
Does Minnaloushe know that his pupils
Will pass from change to change,
And that from round to crescent,
From crescent to round they range?
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
Alone, important and wise,
And lifts to the changing moon
His changing eyes.
no words needed
