a true heart (detail in Sweet Mary-Anne)
This morning Jude Hill of Spirit Cloth wrote such an inspiring post about the meaning of leaning, dancing in the space between what was and what is. She speaks true to her heart, generously sharing so much of her deep knowledge of cloth, weave and stitch, questioning her processes deeply with an astute and curious mind.
Today I leaned on her deep thoughts, gaining a huge insight into my own process & untied a knot that had wound tight around pricing for the Crow Show, it’s all undone and freed up with knowing if it’s not flying out for love, then what’s it all for?

This is a truly magic piece!
thanks for the encouragement Leonie
Jude’s generosity is indeed inspiring.
on so many levels
Totally agree with you about the pricing Mo. The embroidered heart looks luscious. LOVE yours and Rod’s work. OXOX
(((Margaret)))
Knots can be deucedly tenacious, but it’s often more satisfying to find a way to untangle them rather than cutting them out. Time well spent, release well earned.
Fly free dear heart …
thanks Liz & re untying knots, Henrietta’s mum (RIP) put it really well, “never cut a knot, always untie it. If you can’t figure out how to untie a knot, you’ll never figure out how to solve your problems.”
The good vibes of artists like Jude and you give me something to lean on…………….
and you (((Martine))) you make such good magic with your happy bees!
So pleased you have found your way through the angst of pricing what is an exceptional and truly incomparable work Mo. I first read your words from Jude as learning not leaning and thought all your comments about dancing in the space between applied beautifully to learning – then read Jude’s post and realised it was about leaning! What a lovely mistake for me and beautiful connections all round. Your edging some beautiful leaning right now and it will all be worth it.
I love how Jude catches her thoughts, takes them for a spin & sets them free!
isn’t it grand how we support one another here in the land of pixies?
this web of light…
Such a beautiful heart, Mo…
I haven’t rsvp’d yet, sorry to be so slow off the mark; but I will be there with Suzy & Tracy, we’re so excited for you.
Excellent look forward to catching up then & no need to RSVP unless you feel like it!
