waxing gibbous

waxing-gibbous-moon ladder to the moon waxing gibbous (the stray orbs are camera magic)

the next night, the moon waxing even more gibbously (if that’s a word)
and a heart shaped moon!
(camera shake can make good magic)

  1. fiberels says:

hmmmmm … you’re reaching far higher up than the moon, Mo …

    • Mo Crow says:

the moon is that tiny dot of light at the top of the ladder the other 3 orbs in the photo may be an illusion from dust on the lens or magic moon dust which ever you prefer

  2. Oh dear too early in the day for me! I glanced at the title of the post and read “waxing gibbons” , whatever is Mo Crow up to now? 😀

  3. Carol says:

Oh, I love those other orbs, Mo, more magic!

  4. “We are Climbing Jacobs Ladder” (song sung as a child in rounds as I recall)–“Fly me to The Moon” and “Moon River” (sung as a teenager in love), and the phrase (form where ? ) ” “The Moon’s a harsh mistress”….”Oh moon of Alabama” when reading Brecht in my twenties…….I wax wordy as she comes into the full again in a few days. There is magic and mystery in this piece Mo.

Now, a confession…I deleted your wonderful comment and the LINK on my SEE YOKO post in order to post it on Face book (I usually post there when it first posts on Blogger before there are comments because, for reasons unknown FB posts the lead comment as though it were part of the blog post. Anyhow, please comment again and send that LINK to her ‘coffin trees’ piece. Did you blog about the show when you saw it? Was that the link you sent?

  5. Love, love, love your ladder to the moon, Mo; ladders are one of my own personal symbols, so I’m especially drawn to this….

    • Mo Crow says:

so many artists, poets and musicians are drawn to ladders as a line of escape, I loved the game “Snakes and Ladders” when I was a kid! Have been looking at the work of Joan Miro whilst listening to Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” and taking photos with the ladder & the moon every night!

  6. Re biennial and Yoko’s Coffins for trees–got it
Also thanks for the addition of a heart shaped moon

  7. PS
Mo can you email me instructions on how to make a LINK open separately ? My LINKS take one away from the page and one has to hit back arrow to return to page…yours open on another page.

  8. I will be looking out for the full heart moon tonight Mo! I dream of climbing the ladder
