thank you Di, it’s just a quick stab binding with a thick black Saunders Somerset paper wrapper but by gosh it feels real, Old Man Crow is spinning!

  1. Carol says:

((((Mo))) How fabulous this looks! It does look real, and it looks really exciting. WooHoo!!!

  2. margaret johnson says:

Looking GORGEOUS. Can hardly wait to buy a copy!!! ox

    • Mo Crow says:

thanks Marg, x fingers you and Mike will do a road trip for the launch in September 2016 (there’s still much to do between then & now the time’ll fly!)

  3. handstories says:

I can only imagine how thrilling this must be to have so much work and passion coming together. (A gelato shop named “Crow & Moon”?!!!)

  4. Dana says:

In the illustrations you have shown here, the planning for the gutter is so clear. Also, the movement of black, white, empty space and high detail. Really wonderful, Mo.

  5. Absolutely wonderful . . . so happy for you.

    • Mo Crow says:

Feeling like I should break open a bottle of champagne but it’s not yet beer o’clock for the Old Man Crow and even a tiny half glass of bubbles sends me straight to the Land of Nod these days!

  6. I have been following, looking in every night or so, blown away by your combined skills. Now, I’m astounded at the finish line. What persistence, what courage and creativity. What a duo!

  7. Eliene says:

WOW………lovin’ the look of this book. I know there is lots of tweaking to do but take a bow guys…..you earned it……!

    • Mo Crow says:

Old Man Crow is blown away, seeing his music, the most intangible of the arts in a form that he can hold in his hands and turn the pages, feels like my whole life has been leading up to this making.

  10. karmadondruplhamo says:

not a dream anymore. no…not a dream. REAL and just well…..so so FINE, Mo….
    this is Happiness.
Love to you and your old man

  11. Marti says:

Bound by years, by immense creativity, by love, by togetherness, by vision- this is simply so fulfilling, to see how it all is coming together: to hold this first bound copy in your hands, both of you, to touch song words, to let fingers trace over drawings, an accomplishment of immense talent and connection, this is such a gift.

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Marti))) love how you can put this into words, it gives me goosebumps & makes my hair stand on end, just finished mending the frayed collars & am about to attend to the gardening business bookwork to get my feet back on the ground, we have a big day of gardening on that will help once the sun comes up!

  12. Liz says:

I suspect I will return to this post often … it holds such magic, such pure joy

  13. Heather says:

Fantastic! Will these be for sale? I am having a case of the covets.

    • Mo Crow says:

(((Heather))) there will be a limited edition of 100 books with 4 CDs in the set, each book will be hand coloured with a talisman bookmark sewn into the headband to be launched with an exhibition of the 38 original drawings and Old Man Crow accoutrements at Artsite Gallery in September 2016, it will be a party wouldn’t it be great if you and your good man could be here! It seems a long way off but the time will fly!

    • Mo Crow says:

this is just the first draft Velma, the book will be ready to launch in September 2016, have just finished the second round of editing & will start printing it today for our good friend Richard who is an artist and editor to look over with his sharp eyes and the red pen. The third draft will be the leather bound copy that we will take to the printer in September. After the 100 copies are printed and bound I will hand colour each of them with red gouache and make 100 talisman bookmarks. There is more work to be done on the recordings and I will be making a range of cards, prints, T-shirts and whatever else falls out of my hands between now and then, the time is flying and it’s all very exciting!
