Love the song! What a team you and Rod make, though no doubt you are closely supervised by Ariel. I’m looking at your drawing on my mini iPad, so not very large, but just moving through it, enlarging, and examining each feature leaves me amazed by your talent and insight. Beautiful, Mo!

  3. Liz says:

Today I am finding synchronicity everywhere I turn … Dana’s post about Alexander Christopher … Grace’s post about the Anthropology of Turquoise … then here, “Close your eyes” and the asemic writing that looks for all the world like the back of my word-stitched cloth. Love this! And wondering what’s next.

    • Mo Crow says:

Isn’t the Anthropology of Turquoise one of the best books ever? the asemic writing covers the hand written words to the song which didn’t work… making the drawing almost a pentimento or a palimpsest (with time added)

      • Liz says:

I am indeed loving the Anthropology of Turquoise … going slowly, not wanting it to end.
I wondered what was beneath the asemic-like writing … and yes, a palimpsest for sure.
BTW, my comment should have read “Christopher Alexander” (so confusing when someone has two first names, don’t you think?)

you can see the text here from back in 2011 when I first started this blog to document the process of illustrating the lyrics of Old Man Crow

        • Mo Crow says:

& later re difficult names… Dostoevsky’s use of different names for the same people according to their relationships was difficult but I persevered & ‘The Idiot’ changed my life profoundly when I was 18
