It must be a “blue season” I’ve got the blues, too.Petrea volubilis everywhere.
What is the chunky bit at the bottom, Mo?
I love Petrea volubilis! that’s a chunk of azurite Di, a powerful stone used for opening the third eye
I feel like you could just make anything exquisite with anything we handed you.
ah thanks for the good words Julie, feeling a bit bummed out this morning as it looks like the Barrel of Fun didn’t make the cut for the 6x6x6 miniature sculpture show
What? No Barrel of Fun at the miniature sculpture show? I’m surprised…that’s a loss for everyone. Rolling in the Deep (Blue) looks like an artifact from the sea…encrusted with the rime of the ocean, including its glorious color.
hmmm… Madeleine of Artsite Gallery did mention on Saturday that my photos were not really up to scratch and that next time I want to submit work for a juried show to make the time to set up the work on a plinth in her very well lit white walled space and use her good digital SLR, she has a point!
Beautiful!
thanks Anita, I also love Goethe’s idea of blue as an “enchanting nothingness”
What an amazing BLUE !
intense!
and I agree with Dana : don’t understand that they didn’t want your Barrel of Fun …. !!!!!
I’m sort of glad it didn’t have to leave, it makes me laugh!
now that’s BLUE
diving in the deep end
I love that song! This is a beautiful amulet, Mo; how can you not love that blue?
the coolness of blue, it’s always there & yet elusive
Ha … love the blue, but love the cool wood in the background, too. Don would have fun with that!
that piece of wood has been used for cleaning paintbrushes for the past 5 houses & lives out in the garden, it’s weathering nicely!
Glory bee! Or rather, Glory Blue!
hehe! good one Cindy!
Stunning blue, Mo, absolutely love this piece.
thanks for the good words Carol, x fingers will have 7 of these talismans (or are they amulets… talismans are for luck, amulets are for protection…. or is it the other way ’round…) ready for the xmas show at Artsite
Great shot of it too Mo. Just luscious.
thanks for all the encouragement & being the model for the set so far on Wednesday, will ask Richard to do some photos!
hey Mo. think i need to resubscribe–haven’t been getting notices of new posts.
personally I don’t like getting notification about anything in the cyber sea!
how do i re-become a follower? and what is RSS?
if you want to follow, go to the very top of the It’s Crow Time page. on the RHS you can see the WordPress symbol, then It’s Crow Time and a Follow button with a plus symbol if you click on that it should add my blog to your Reader then go into your Reader. click “edit blogs I follow” and you can receive instant e-mail notification.
re RSS, you need an RSS app if you want to do it that way.
glorious blue Mo….
thanks for visiting Karen!
