And all my palm trash goes to the shredder to return as mulch!
and the shredders really don’t like palm “trash” better to make beauty!
sometimes the things I love most at a show of this caliber, are the drawings! That’s not the case here, there is too much else that grabs me (the tall stalks stuck in a drum; that cylinder with ochre-colored flanges; the desert totems). thanks for sharing.
There is such strong connection to the spirit of place in all her work
This appears to be quite an impressive exhibit, Mo. Thanks for sharing your photos of this wonderful work, since most of us won’t get to see it in person!
She was such an inspiration for so many here in the Land Down Under
Again Mo… You show us heavenly beauty of not yours than others
Love to OLd crow too
(((Yvette))) you would love this work
Breathtaking! So sorry not to see this in person but thank you for your lovely photos. So much to take in, and I love the tools – always wonderful to get an insight into process. I have bits of palm fronds and “hair” in my stash but I wish I had the ability to make such wonders as these.
Virginia’s attention to detail and deep connection with the materials and spirit of place live on.
I love each one of these pieces but do you know what set my heart fluttering? The page, the beautiful, fascinating page….
Virginia was such a rare talent and generous spirit, this show helped ease the hole she has left.
I enjoyed that! Thanks Mo.
