      I declared the feather and shells when I arrived back here in Sydney on Tuesday explaining they were mementos from my Mom’s 85th birthday. I was worried the pelican feather would need to be put in a room with methyl bromide for a few weeks but the customs officer let everything through because they were all so clean!

      I love all of Jay Griffiths books but “A Love Letter From a Stray Moon” is poetry on fire, her words burn with such a bright and fierce passion
