Simply beautiful……and such an appropriate gift for your special man.

  2. dinahmow says:

Lovely! Long ago…I saved some honesty seed pods and some of them wound up in a shirt, “sandwiched” between gauze as a pocket.Of course, that made laundering it impossible!

  3. Jane Bodnaruk says:

    love her work

  4. . (my mom used to mix honesty with orange japanese lanterns in the fall, so lovely and magical in their paperiness ) … What a beautifully packaged parcel, and the piece is stunning in its simplicity and beauty.

    • Mo Crow says:

how beautiful, I may well try planting some seeds one more time!
hmmmm just looked up where it grows well… in Northern Europe and it has naturalised in England, no wonder it has never done well here, Sydney’s summers are way too fierce combined with our acidic soil. I will just enjoy this beautiful cloth and the memory of those translucent seed pods!

Hey Mo, LOVELY! Hope Rod likes it. Throughout the 80’s I used to grow Honesty and sell it to Florist shops. It grew all over the garden, but the biggest and best of them grew in a very hot corner of the garden. We’d load up the trailer with big bunches of it and deliver to shops. I still have some of those seeds, it doesn’t grow so well here though. Would you like some of my seeds to try? Marg ox

  11. Carol says:

Really beautiful, Mo! A wonderful gift for Old Man Crow. BTW, the first time I ever saw honesty growing was in an old established garden in Beecroft (Sydney). It was self seeding and doing very well. I’ve been inspired by it ever since but have never been able to grow it myself.

    • Mo Crow says:

That’s good news Carol, Beecoft has a different microclimate, it gets more rain than anywhere else in Sydney and has good soil so it’s about finding the right spot where the root zone can stay cool and moist in summer (it’s the spot right next to the tap here) and will give it a little lime as well.

  12. Gorgeous! He’s going to love it!
