i know so little about Australia’s political climate–and i think that because the land is so exquisite and your blog embraces the vibrant art life there–i just assumed…that it was different from here. well, so much for fairy tale thinking–and that’s the second time it’s come up today.

this is the most extreme right wing government we have ever had, they are busily clearing the way for the mining companies to do whatever they want, fracking prime farming land, clear felling heritage wilderness and dredging the Great Barrier Reef are all on the cards.

  2. but “we” are compliant, in our own ways. i somehow still believe that if we all stood up and
said NO, the “playing field” would tip. NO. NO. NO. we, the Us, we, do not want and do
    not need that.

    • Mo Crow says:

we have to chain ourselves to the land, the trees, the rivers & the great barrier reefs in front of the bulldozers & dredges & pray that the people who want to harm our beautiful earth will see the light and understand that this is the only planet we have and we have to look after her now!

Was reading an article about Bill McKibben last week and about how important it is that we all protest…that we can’t compete against the money but we can if we all show up.
