  1. Eliene says:

I think this might be a peacock feather too. Somebody gave me some peacock feathers one time & some of these were included….maybe its from the hen. They’re very strong is all I know.

  2. dinahmow says:

Having had several peacocks wandering around, dropping feathers…I have to say Eliene’s probably right.

  3. margaret johnson says:

Hi Mo, I think Eliene and Dinahmow are probably right. I’ve had these feathers for about 15 years, so I’m not remembering correctly. The spotty feather is definately a turkey feather though. Just call me a twit!

    • Mo Crow says:

I am so lucky Margaret waiting for some good afternoon light to take more photos of the extravagance of feathers that both you & Eliene have gifted me this month!

  4. patricia says:

reading through this and following the links. just put a few things together. one, that Emily Dickinson is my all time favorite poet supreme. named my own daughter Emily. another nice connection.

  5. Carol says:

Having grown up with peafowl I also think the brown feather is probably from a peahen. Hope we’re all right! Loved going back to the links.
