Terri Windling has started a moveable feast  about The Desire for Dragons with lots of wondrous links to dragonish lore, art and why we need their magic in our lives.

NB here’s a link to a post from last year about our good friends Eric & Carol and their Dragonglass Studio in Far North Queensland, thanks for the reminder Michelle in NYC

  2. vladthebat says:

    gorgeous even… 😉

  3. Gorgeous glass, should be the holder of an enchanted elixir.

  4. Oh, here it is again. I’ve seen it before, but never tire of wonderment at the craft of the thing Mo. Personally, I have no desire of dragons. Somehow missed out on that one in favor of unicorns I think…still, it is wonderful.

    • Mo Crow says:

I drew a lot of horses from the age of 5 that morphed into unicorns from 15 to 30 when the dragons took over, followed by the decade of botanical illustration, a decade of cats and now it’s for the love of crows! even thought to write a book about unicorns when I was about 25 as I had quite a collection but when it came to writing everything I knew it fit on two pages!

  5. Carol says:

Mo, your talents never cease to amaze and impress me! A magnificent decanter! Going to investigate dragons now…

  6. sarah says:

    wow, so enchanting.

  7. A beautiful thing.

    Now that makes me think:

What manner of potion from this does one drink?

Poison? Elixir? Blood of a Dragon?
What manner of liquid is held in that flagon?

So finely engraved, of exquisite form…

A demon enslaved? A magical storm?

Crafted with skill and finished with care,
What manner of secrets are hidden in there?

Maybe nothing at all…or invisible fire
To enflame the mind with a Dragon’s desire…

Love it! You are so talented, Mo, What an extraordinary, magical, mystical decanter!

  9. Eliene says:

    ‘Tis true magic Mo…..

  10. What a bewitching, powerful talisman! The detail of the wings at the top… just perfection. It’s dangerous and seductive all at once.

  11. That’s truly magical, Mo!
