still-life-with-ravenThis fabulous life size Raven (from Jim & Tory of Mullanium arrived yesterday via Reliquaire in Tasmania their retail outlet here in Oz) is the key to this Still Life with Candlelight, the illustration for the next song which is from so long ago Old Man Crow can’t remember it’s name! It’s a love letter from 40 years ago set in a candle lit room full of things that “were not real”…
Grace-raven-feather-detailthis is a real Raven feather sent to me by Grace from New Mexico
serendipitously Mullanium’s feathered plume was left out of the box and Grace’s feather works more than perfectly, it’s magic!
all the details are so beautiful… I am loving drawing straight from life!

Marvellous raven! Your photos are suitably mysterious and I’m sure your drawings will be wonderful. I enjoyed looking at both the Mullanium’s site and that of Reliquaire.
